Squam House is gorgeous beach house designed in traditional - contemporary style, located on the coast of Nantucket, an island 30 miles (48 km) south of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, in the United States.
The house is built by J. Brown Builders, intentionally in this combination in order to preserve the historical characters of buildings on Nantucket. No flat roofs and no ultra modern homes.
With beautiful traditional exterior facade, there's one thing that could give away the fact that those lucky residents love contemporary style homes. It's large minimalist swimming pool in the backyard, looking out on the ocean. Interior decoration is bright, simple and modern. Open floor plan allowed amazing connection so kitchen, dining room and living room ended up being in "the same room".
